Canonical Record

Sebille is an elf, once enslaved and shaped into an assassin by a master who used control as both leash and weapon. She escaped. That sentence is brief only because survival often compresses itself after the fact. The scar remains, and so does the list.

She travels with a needle, a knife, and a practiced suspicion of anyone who believes ownership is a form of authority. Her search concerns those who held her, used her, or profited from the chains. The chronicle summarizes this as revenge, but the word is too small. Freedom, once taken, is not restored by escape alone.

The Knife and the Memory

As an elf, Sebille carries memory in ways the rest of the party may not fully appreciate. Flesh tells stories. Blood leaves records. A corpse, to her people, is not always silent. This makes her useful in a practical sense and unsettling in the older, truer sense.

She is not merely dangerous because she can kill. Many can kill. Sebille is dangerous because she remembers who taught her, who ordered her, who thought the matter was over, and which direction she was facing when she decided it was not.

Draft Position in the Party

Sebille finds herself in a strange spot. She is the only person here with a background, goals to follow, and motivation that appears to have arrived before the ship did. She has targets to kill, traces to follow, and real gravity attached to her situation.

This would be difficult in any party. It is made more difficult by being placed between supportingly, definitely support support; a mentally absent lizard; and a literal wall. The chronicle notes that this is not the usual environment in which personal revenge expects to be taken seriously.
